Stress, Skin and Silliness


Nurse Lynda Audia from Toronto taught a session 
on Stress Management and the role of the Barefoot Doctor
in treating the patient. She  explained how the brain, 
and ultimately the body, responds to stress.

       Dr. Susan Parker and Nilar role play.
  Dr. Susan is a "patient"who just learned that
 her only child has been severely injured in a 
  motorcycle accident.  Nilar is demonstrating
how she would comfort her patient and help
 her deal with the stress in her life.

 Nurse Lynda talked about how laughter
reduces stress.  Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful
heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit
dries up the bones."

Nang Kham presents a case of a child with a skin problem.
He has an itchy rash behind his ear.  The conclusion? The child
probably had ezema that was scratched and is now infected.
